No scam...it does exactly what is described in the eBay auction...except for the actual horsepower increase of course.
What these mods do is trick your ECU into thinking more air is going into the engine than is actually the case. Your ECU dumps more fuel into the engine to compensate.
What results is not more horsepower though. It just results in your engine running rich and potentially failing emissions testing when it comes up for registration in a few years and you have to do the roadworthy examination.
Net result?
No extra power, and about 0.5L/100km worth of V-Power/BP Ultimate down the drain.Comment
