Welcome to the new look VWWatercooled

After much work and little sleep there is a new version of the forums running on more powerful and recent hardware as well as an upgraded software platform.

Things are mostly the same, but some things are a little different. We will be learning together, so please post questions (and answers if you've worked things out) in the help thread.

The new forum software is an upgraded version of what came before, it's mostly the same but also a little different. Hopefully easier to use and more stable than before. We are learning together here, so please be patient. If you have questions, please post them here. If you have worked something out and can provide an answer,

  • Modifications in Perth

I have recently moved across to Perth and am now looking to get a Forge TIP installed. What delaers/mechanics are around in Perth that do performance modifications?

try Quattro Motors in Burswood (just south of the river near the Casino) or Golfwagen (Joe) in Wangara

I also have a good official Audi mechanic who does good cash jobs if you can get the car to Canning Vale on weekends

I can't remember off the top of my head coz it was done with a service, but I remember it being reasonable.

Quattro's, I think from memory, charge around $90 for an hour's labour. How long it takes for them to put it in is another thing altogether. It took Brian at Quattro's a lot coaxing in the first place for him to agree to do it so I dont know if he still does them or not. I know back at the time I did mine, Joe from Golfwagen was not keen to install them either. I in the end did mine myself and saved a couple of hundred $$'s. Terribly fidly to do yourself but not impossible by all means.

Hi All, I will need ongoing service / support for my MkIV R32 in Perth going forward. Are the specialists listed on this page (Quattro and Golfwagen) the only 'enthusiast preferred' VW specialists in Perth?

                Cheers

my car is looked after Joe (golfwagen) and so far i havent had any bad experiances with him. Quattro is a bit too far from me but i hear very good things about them too

Langers, depending on your location if you are north or south of the river, I'd stick with these two as well. I go to Quattros personally.

I've taken my car to Quattro's ever since I bought it, and they always have excellent service and never any issues.
