  • The most useful thing in my Polo..storage space

I Jumped into a new Polo today, to see the interior and trying to imagine what it would be like in GTi trim.

I was hoping but only half expecting for them to have retained the shelf that runs across the bottom of the dash - it sounds odd but interior storage is the thing that most new cars get wrong these days, the current Polo has it in spades, and the new one is sadly lacking.

Explains why they have included the arm rest as standard in the new one I guess.

That's an interesting take. I've always thought the current Polo lacks storage space. Trying to store loose CDs without them flying around the cabin is virtually impossible (won't do ipod thingys).

Just because it happened to you, doesn't make it interesting

Mountains of space in the current GTI (9N3). As Danish says, the front seat buckets are perfect, the tray under the dash glovebox and steering wheel, the tray above the dash (which is much more useful with the dash cubby installed) & the door pockets. Seriously, how much more space does it need for a small car?

Not really. Cant fit many and they slide around with every curve.

In none of those places can you store cds. There should be a dedicated slotted space where u can 5 or 6 cds.

So hang on, you can't fit many CD's, yet you can fit enough for there to be room for them to slide around? If you have them in cases, who cares if they slide around, or stick a rag/foam in there to stop them. I have an iPod so I've never tried to fill them with CD's, but I have a couple for when I am without my iPod and sure you could fit 10 or more each bucket. If you need more that, learn to live with an iPod thingy I don't really care, just poking fun.

Talking about mountains of space, i've only just found out that the Leather seats has a small side pocket on the left of the drive seat and on the right of the passenger seat.

for cds, i have a cd case that holds 20 cds and it's on the back pocket of the driver's seat.

Pretty of space, there is even a console in the arm rest of the rear seats
