LSD again... is there no way to tell whether we have 113 or 114mm from outside?

Hi guys,

I know Guy harding mentioned that there is no way to tell whether we have 113 or 114mm until we open the box. Has there been a news on this yet? i am keen to get LSD at some point and replace rivets with bolts. Being in NZ, difficult to get the correct size, and i can't afford to buy both. (stupid..too)

Mine was registered Feb 2006, so I am guessing it's late 2005 built, is there anyway to tell?

Hello Han!

I remember I had to machine my diff to fit it in the gear. I had to remove 1mm from its diameter, so it is probably 113mm.
My Polo is 2006/07, so I think it will be the same as yours.

Thanks Plautos, I heard that new gearboxes now come with 113mm. Mine is 05/06, which maybe border line...
