Anyone have the eibach pro kit for GTI polo????

I just bought the kit. Apparently its a 20mm kit.

What has got me baffled is that the springs came with some funny spacer looking things. Probably a little bit larger in diameter to a 20 cent piece with a hole in the middle probably the size of a 10cent piece.

Probably 1cm thick and it has an allen key looking adjustment at the side.

I have NEVER seen anything like it and i am stumped as to what their purpose is.

Also any pictures of GTI's with the pro kit fitted ??

I think the sport kits are meant to the firmer kit FYI.

not sure if that was an option for you though.

I have Eibach springs fitted to Koni adjustable shocks.Front is marginally lower, maybe 10mm but the back dropped about 20mm.Polo GTI's are lower than other Polos,so the kit doesn't drop them as much.Give me the part number of the kit off the box and I'll tell you if they're the same, plus I have some more specs on them.
        Cheers

I was only given the option of pro kit.

I just wanted it a touch lower than standard and maybe a bit more roll resistance.

Note this spring upgrade is being accompanied by an adjustable front sway bar from whiteline and already have the rear adjustable bar.

Springs cost me 550 which is dear, but apparently eibach are supposedly quite good.

I had king spring variable rates on my previous car and they were rough as hell. But then again they were a 35mm drop... not the 20mm eibach drop

Here's some pics of my car and MACCAA's at Wakefield. MACCAA has Eibach springs, Koni adjustable shocks and Whiteline RSB; mine has stock suspension apart from Whiteline RSB and 17" wheels

                Eibach Pro Kit

Thanks Timbo. I appreciate those photos.

From what i can tell there is small but noticeable drop with the Eibach's.

As everyone can understand its hard to tell from photos, but it seems like it sits a bit flatter through corners. Nice

Yes, I think you'll find the Eibachs drop the Polo GTI by about 15mm. Can't see it much at the front, but the rear is noticeable relative to stock. And, yes, MACCAA's does handle a little flatter and better than mine (he's 2 sec fast at WPR, but that may be the person behind the wheel as much as anything )

Bilstein adjustable coilovers are also an option (begone, temptation... )

One thing i dread is the thought of the car not sitting evenly.. ie back sitting way lower than front.

I hope this is not the case with Eibach? Does it sit evenly front and back?

No, not from MACCAA's car. Eibach seem to have a quality product. Of course, if a monkey installs it....
