Wow, I wouldn't have thought the polo tdi would be able to out run an XR4. How much power does yours have atw?

dont know how much i have at the wheels, but its torquey as all ****. unfortunately i've had to pull out of the dyno day on the 17th, because my car's at the smash repairs getting fixed [if it doesnt get a structural write-off].

i'll be interested to see what numbers josh's makes, though. i'll be going down there to get snaps on the day.

If it does get written off, (which hopefully doesn't happen!) let me know, I think I could convince josh to get a spare engine!

well that's interesting, jarred- im really not experienced with what happens AFTER an insurance company decides to write the car off, but if retrieving stuff is a possibility then i'd be more than happy to explore what can be parted.

what usually happens? car written off -> notify insurance company of potential parts buyer -> insurance company allows inspection and offers for various car components before sending to auctions, or something? sorry, clueless i know....

              i'd be interested to know

              cheers,

Some insurance companies offer you the chance to buy your car off once it's been written off. Depending on isurance company probably. Just curious to see how much it would be more than anything I guess

was looking forward to being one of the few diesel boys at the dyno day. it woulda been sick to compare our maps.

yeah, i hope it doesnt get written off too...... engine is still 40k from being properly run in! [it's only got 60,000 kms on it].
