  • Spotted: 2010 Polo at Mascot 6th April

Hey guys, thought you might be interested to know that I saw the 2010 VW Polo undergoing evaluation testing. This was snapped turning onto Botany Road just outside the VW Mascot dealership (where I was taking my Golf to pick up a part).

Notice it's yellow!!! I'm pretty sure yellow isn't going to make it onto the official palette which lead to my conclusion it's an evaluation car... but this one is a great yellow.

I asked a Mascot service guy and he confirmed there were a few cars for evaluation, tech training, and soon journos.

The quality isn't great because by the time I reached for my phone, the car had passed me in the opposite direction. When I did a U turn, a bl00dy ute got in between me and the eval car. So I had to wait for the lights change to snap the photo.

The photo is a little blurry but from what I can see the rubber looks pretty low profile... Is this a base model?.. Maybe optioned up with wheels/tyres?

I couldn't tell from what little I saw. What I can say is it is very smart in the flesh.

To put it into perspective, here's the original shot and how far he's in front of the ute after the lights change. The polo was the first car at the lights

From that point of view looks very similar to the bubble shape of the current model.
        Current:

        2015 Mk7 Golf R Wolfsburg - Limestone Grey: Stage 2

          Good spotting

I agree that colour most likely not make it to the colour palette for Australia as VGA are to conservative

Yellow is in the colour range line up for the new Polo.. Savanna Yellow and yes for Aus .. Great news I think some bright colours for the Volkswagen range Big Plus... other then a silver or a grey or a silver/grey or a silver grey black... lol.... Not there is anything against these colours just happy to have more choice for customers.. I love the yellow..

Good news Phil that a few more colours will be available than the norm. Without giving too much away when do you think the Polo will be available for a test drive ?

Cant say I am sorry. Volkswagen allows Dermot and I to be on here but no unofficial anythings or pricing to be spoken. As dealers we are only made aware of official pricing and release dates two weeks before..

Do the rear lights have a slight A3esque look to them?

Looks like I'll have to eat my words

I've heard VGA really want this Polo to be successful here, adding more colours should help the appeal especially to the female buyer IMO.
