  • High km flashed GTIs??

    Hi,

How are the Polo Gtis holding up that have been flashed.. Im talking about having a ccumulated a few km on the higher boost tunes.. I sold mine with around 22,000km on it so it was still too fresh to see any wear.

Any issues with some of the higher mileage cars out there? (flashed cars)

well i will bite since im one of the higher kms chipped polos on here, and no problems with the car well besides a stock clutch lasting 85000 kms on a car running 132kw atw which i dont call a problem, lets see how a ford goes with an extra 50% more power at the wheels than standard and only having to replace the clutch

I'm surprised Petrina's mum let him near the computer again. I think the garden tap saved the wear on his engine...

It's good to see the Hulk prarie dogging around here agian... He is like herpes... He never goes away...

By the way. My clutch and engine are still going strong after 40,000km of chipping. Oil is coming out golden brown after 7,500km when I do oil changes, and the gearbox oil was nice and clean and free of sparkles when I changed it... In other words, nothing to worry about...

Wasn't Petrina going to tune a Daewoo Kalos after his Polo? I heard him mention somthing about cut springs ...

Well at 84,000km with mine, so issues other than needs new bushes and the front swaybar needs a greasing. Clutch is still got bite and I'm not noticing any issues with the car at all.

Not a GTI but my S3 has 208000Ks up. Had a rebuild due to a busted ring about 70000 ago. It has been chipped for more than half the total distance.
IMO there is no need for a chipped car to give up any sooner than a standard one, unless it doesn't get serviced.

Good to hear the little polos are holding up.

I have a soft spot for these cars and know they are a quality car. Regret selling my little beast.

I now have a ford and yeah it it has its benefits and pitfalls next to the little dub.

Mine just clicked passed 44k kms/coming to 2 years still running ok except hissing noise on wot after changing after market DV, not sure it's the characteristics of that DV or there might be leaking but so far VAGCOM didn't detect any leaks yet. ECS Stg1 clutch kit on its way as we speak. Hopefully I'll be able to fork somemore for FMIC as Malaysia's temperamental heat is getting hotter and hotter....
