Welcome to the new look VWWatercooled

After much work and little sleep there is a new version of the forums running on more powerful and recent hardware as well as an upgraded software platform.

Things are mostly the same, but some things are a little different. We will be learning together, so please post questions (and answers if you've worked things out) in the help thread.

The new forum software is an upgraded version of what came before, it's mostly the same but also a little different. Hopefully easier to use and more stable than before. We are learning together here, so please be patient. If you have questions, please post them here. If you have worked something out and can provide an answer,

okay so South African roads are absolutely like the dogs rear end - so ive hit a pothole again and as luck would have it damaged one of my rims as well as a tyre. Following on with my spate of fortune (not good in any way) the rim i have on my car is no longer available in 5 stud 100pcd

so this is what my old rims looked like

so ive replaced them with these

heres what they look like fitted onto the car

the car seems to be riding a bit highish and i will take some better pics as it settles to a more normal ride height

ive also purchased two tyres so that i dont use a mixture of old and new tyres in the front

Hey those rims look pretty good on your car. Might be better than the old set you had earlier. Enjoy.

they still arent exactly what i was after - i really really wanted a set of the Audi Phat 5 TT replica's - those look awesome on a polo

couldnt get stock of these so im gutted cos now ive had to spend in a direction that i didnt want to

but i agree that the ones that i have now are probably better looking than the ones ive removed even though those did look better in real life than the photo conveys
