Welcome to the new look VWWatercooled

After much work and little sleep there is a new version of the forums running on more powerful and recent hardware as well as an upgraded software platform.

Things are mostly the same, but some things are a little different. We will be learning together, so please post questions (and answers if you've worked things out) in the help thread.

The new forum software is an upgraded version of what came before, it's mostly the same but also a little different. Hopefully easier to use and more stable than before. We are learning together here, so please be patient. If you have questions, please post them here. If you have worked something out and can provide an answer,

  • GTi rear bump stops

Hi folks, been browsing this forum for a while bu think this is my first post!

Anyways, i'm after some information! My Polo had its first MOT the other day and i've been told i need to replace my rear bump stops!!! I'm currently lowered 35mm on H&R springs so thought upgrading the bump stops would be worthwhile now!!! So can you clever folks tell me what the dimensions are for the rear bump stops so i can see if Powerflex make any suitable!!?? Or do you lot recommend another company??? Or shall i just get some more standard ones???

    Thanks, Mat

are you still on stock shocks with those springs?

from what i gather its best to replace the shocks so you don't hit the bump stops after the H&R springs are installed

did you shocks hold up? apparently 5000kms after H&R springs, they might die

    your thoughts?
