Email Notifications Failing (mostly Telstra)
Hello everyone. Seems there is an issue with Telstra (possible others) blocking email from our server. If you are trying to sign up I would suggest a different email if possible. If you're trying to reset your password and it fails please use the Contact Us page:
Also, I'll be honest and admit I haven't researched thoroughly and compared the differences between the 2006-2008 models. I can't seem to find this information anywhere. (If someone could share a quick point form of the differences that would be greatly appreciated).
To the best of my knowledge, the early ones had an extra resonator in the exhaust and the later ones don't have a keyhole on the boot handle. Also read somewhere the gearbox might have changed at some point (not sure on that one)
Yeah, I think white really accentuates the front grill (red lining). I think black wheels would look really great to match the overall look.
Hmm, yeah I read about this gear box change on the forums while researching. Something about a H pattern or something. Would someone like to elighten me or direct me to a relevant link.
Otherwise, in the meantime, I'll try find something by searching
sold my gti last year it had around 6000km red was ok very visible and not to dirty looking way better than black or blue. Red was what they had at the sales yard . Never had any dealer warranty work done 100% reliable .I would have got white if they had it but i could not wait .Im waiting to see what the new shape polo will be like .White will be on the wish list with dsg and 5 doors in gti spec.If they make it ill be making my order asap.
Enquired about a new 2008 Polo GTI and was told the best they could do was $28.5K. I have a few pointers, maybe someone can enlighten me.
1. 2 years ago, I could've negotiated that price brand new.
2. 2 years and no real depreciation value despite it being new.
3. Model is now being super-superseded.
I told the dealer that in 2-3 months time, I could guarantee after I bought it, they would have a run-out stocktake on these Polo's due the new lineup. They asked me what I would they expect to pay and I was brutally honest, I told them ~$23-$26K.
I'm thinking if I should wait for the new 2011 model, but then again, I honestly don't want to drive a DSG. I have nothing against it, just not my cup of tea. If it came out in the manual version, then definitely yes.
Got my brand new (47kms) 2008 Polo GTi (black, of course!) a few months ago for $29k including paint protection, interior protection, iPod adapter and window tinting.
