I think there should definately be some bargins to be had on 09 pogs

Late last year there was great deals on the old shape Golfs - I was very tempted.

Noone is going to pay full list price for a superceded model - it is all about bargining to get a good deal. In marketing the call this priming - nothing makes a customer happier than thinking they got a good deal and they measure this from the difference between what they paid and the sticker price - for this to happen they have to start high. Added bonus for the dealer is that a few people are rich enough or dumb enough to pay full price.

Even if you get a great price they will still get you with the servicing

I don't think there are many current model gti's out in dealer stock to be honest.

dont think dealers are in any hurry to sell them cheaply. PLUS theyre such a great little car! unless its a LEMON then yes cheaply.

I read somewhere else VW has stopped building them now so they should be in clearing mode. New one will be out later this yr.

Actually there is a special on TDI Polos at the moment.

When I bought mine new I was under the impression that they were being run out but seems I was wrong. I could actually sell mine tomorrow and make around $2-3k by the looks
