Seriously though, is this thread a piss take?

What if you ever need to drive into a carpark/shopping mall?? Or drive under a bridge? Tear off the bike?

Or first bend or corner you take... bye bye bike.

Obviously you don't know a thing about bikes, or you're just trying to be a smart arse.

That's a $1300 bike there, which is nothing high end, but not a kmart bike.

        Go troll somewhere else.

EDIT: I missed your retarded questions above.

I (like most people) don't drive to shopping centres with a bike on my roof.
Also, 4x4's with bikes on the roof and Semi trailers which are twice the height of a polo with a bike on top, have no problem going under freeway bridges. I've driven several hours and around many bends with the bike on top, with no issue.

I don't know why I'm actually bothering to explain this to a retard like yourself, as you're obviously the one taking the piss.

He obviously enjoys being a twat and has nothing better to do with his time.
That's the only explanation for why somebody would spend time trolling a forum based on a car they don't own anymore.

Are you still around Hulk?? I thought your mum banned you from the computer?? She is at my place now, and says not to get back on it...

Yes, it would be hard driving into underground car parks, this is why people use a thing called logic, and don't do it while they have a bike on the roof...

Logic also dictates that you don't add a garden tap in your engine bay, or cut springs to save money on lowering your car, then complaining about the crappy handling...

Stop being a f*cking troll and bugger off back to Rexnet or Boostcruising...

WAT????? $79 bike? It is bleedingly OBVIOUS that you have no effin clue about bikes (and maybe cars for that matter)! Not surprised now if I go posting up a pic of my $4000 carbon fiber bike and you kicking me in the nuts and calling it a fake/wannabe $50 race bike

Anyway guys, I think the best to do is to just ignore him and all his comments as people who display this sort of behaviour is typical of those who in psych terms is a raging P.D. (Personality Disorder) according to the DSMIV (Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders 4). So to keep our cool (and sanity), lets just enjoy our beloved lil pogos and all the noteworthy posts eh? By the way Tooch, nice bike.

                  Heh, thanks Dave

It's only a Giant Alias but it is plenty good for my low riding skills and fitness levels

An Alias is a really good starting point for all rounder mountain biking. I was looking at one for my brother not too long ago until I decided to rebuild my old GT Zaskar for him instead and save the money for my carbon bike

Yeah I love it. I had a Norco Bigfoot before, but decided dirt jumping wasn't for me and the bike was no good for any sort of distance riding, so went with the Alias. Damn good value for the equipment that's on it.

....even if it does look like a $79 bike

Tooch, as Dave said, the Alias is a great starting point. Low maintenance, reasonably weight, price and strong. I've got the Giant Thermo1 (model below yours), it's heavy as, but has been cheap, reliable and copped an absolute flogging without complaint. But this if off topic.

EDIT: Now I see you've posted, you'd already know that about the Alias

I've had a great laugh at the responses to Petrina, funniest thing i've seen/read all day.

Why don't you go cut your springs some place else.

Back onto serious matters... can anyone comment about performance with roof racks on VS off? does it create a heap of drag? is it noticeable on freeways?

                            Thanks

mine are always on the car. Easy to remove but generally CBF'd and I use them quite often. The main thing I notice is some additional wind noise at highway speeds. It's sometimes not as noticable, other times more so... I haven't really bothered to track fuel consumption, I've given, when it's empty, get more.

This thread is full of lols.
On a more relevant note - I was quite suprised to find I could fit my fixie (don't hate) IN my pogo. It only fits sans front wheel (w/o quick release >.<) but I don't have to remove the rear rack and I've got bullhorns which stick out like a b!tch.
Does anyone else bother putting their bike in their car?
