Welcome to the new look VWWatercooled

After much work and little sleep there is a new version of the forums running on more powerful and recent hardware as well as an upgraded software platform.

Things are mostly the same, but some things are a little different. We will be learning together, so please post questions (and answers if you've worked things out) in the help thread.

The new forum software is an upgraded version of what came before, it's mostly the same but also a little different. Hopefully easier to use and more stable than before. We are learning together here, so please be patient. If you have questions, please post them here. If you have worked something out and can provide an answer,

I've also got a feeling it's the wrong kit.

Maybe another kit would have longer or harder springs for the added weight oat the back of the sedan.

    The kit I was supplied H&R 29333-3.

What are your opinions about the front of the car resting on it's bump stops?
Because the front of my sedan would be the same as for the hatch.
29333-3 it is made specially for the Polo Gti.
I think you should have bought 29333-1 or 29333-2 (depending on your front axle weight) if they are made to fit the sedan version also.

Our local H&R supplier recommended 29333-3, must've got the model wrong.

Just received confirmation from both the local supplier and H&R Germany that the correct kit for my car is 29333-2, which is the same as the 29333-3 kit, but with different rear springs to compensate for the higher rear axle weight of my car.

Pity I know have to wait 3 weeks again.

Luckily the supplier is very helpful!

Glad to hear that you got it sorted out, even if it's another 3 weeks wait.

The sedan kinda looks like a VW Borat from the side.

Still does not explain why your front end is resting on the bump stops...
