i can honestly see myself buying vw/audi in the future. after driving something from just about every car company i can say vw has easily been the best , then again my pog is the first half decent car ive brought so i am a lil bias . oh and the daewoo was a cielo 1.8ltrs of grunting pppooowwwwaaaa....... till i blew a hole the size of an apple in the side of the block ,.......then learnt intimatly how to do a complete engine change.

My first car was a sky blue Camry.
After smashing up the front end, I did a DIY paint job (black flames with spray can)
The car was left in Byron Bay after I drove it into a swamp.

I don't know about the good old days, but there was definitely some fun.

it is actually a kit from VW, i bought the car brand new with the kit... and the red leather

Figured I'd contribute, this is every car I've owned in order (First car bought at 16yo, latest car bought this year at 25yo).

I still *really* miss the WRX, but I don't regret selling it because it got me into the property market. Actually, the thing I miss most about the WRX was the noise, as it was running a full 3" turbo back with no cat, no resonators, nothing. Got a vid of it here but even with great speakers it still doesn't do it justice.

I also miss the Mx5, but being a track car it just didn't have the reliability or practicality I needed so I decided to sell it and grab the dub.

                          My list is:
Land Rover Series 2 LWB - Good fun but no power steering and terrible turning circle meant impossible to park.

Range Rover 1982 - Loved this car and went everywhere in it including desert trips and lots of serious 4wdriving. Developed a chronic shake at 80km/h, spent a fortune trying to correct it but nothing worked.

Alfa Romeo Giulietta 1.8 1983 - Sounded awesome, great handling, surprisingly reliable. Bought at auction for $2000, lasted 5 years without spending a cent on it. Died of rust haha. It served it's purpose. I still really like the look of these cars.

Holden Calais VL - Bought it off the family, piece of sh**, traded in on

Holden Barina SRi - Was ok but handling could have been a lot better. Quality was a joke.

                          Peugeot 206 GTi180 - Loved this car

                          VW Polo GTI

Man, my list is filled at two!

My first was a Proton Satria GTI...I still miss it, even though the Polo GTI has much more balls. The handling on the Satria GTI is amazing, like driving on train tracks. Not the best build quality (interior is poor quality) but for the money you pay, its alot of fun.
