Welcome to the new look VWWatercooled

After much work and little sleep there is a new version of the forums running on more powerful and recent hardware as well as an upgraded software platform.

Things are mostly the same, but some things are a little different. We will be learning together, so please post questions (and answers if you've worked things out) in the help thread.

The new forum software is an upgraded version of what came before, it's mostly the same but also a little different. Hopefully easier to use and more stable than before. We are learning together here, so please be patient. If you have questions, please post them here. If you have worked something out and can provide an answer,

  • Bodykit

Now, i really dont want a flood of abuse, or "search" comments, cos to tell you the truth, i CBF dealing with egotistic (if thats even how you spell it) nerds who spend too much time shooting down people on forums like this, instead of figure eleven targets down range.

What bodykits can we get... the only reason i ask, is cos i crashed my car, yep, i was pissed. the front bar has been damaged and a little bit of quarter panel damage. I would rather spend money on an aftermarket front bar than a genuine piece.

Any info would be appreciated. Though you guys can tell im at a point where i dont wanna take crap comments, so just comment if u have some useful help.

There's a few from what i know. Rieger, Oettinger etc.. At risk of sounding like at egotistic nerd , google image search polo body kit or similar and you'll probably get a heap of info and pics.

I don't really care about Polos or any of the newer stuff really, but i thought i'd attempt to help you out.

Well the ones Preeny mention plus OEM cup kit, all imported so will take time to get here... actually I don't think Oettinger make a polo kit.

      cup kit

      caractere

      can't find the rest.

Cup kit you can get from VW

The rest you'll have to source from overseas as far as I know.

you can get Rieger from here http://www.orange-tuning.de/shop/pol...2_104_834.html but looks like Rieger only make a front lip not a whole front bar.

not many options out there specially anything that looks good.

This site has quite a few options: http://www.carfantasy.nl/volkswagen-...09_311_57.html

This thread has a ridiculous number of photos of Polos, many of which have kits (and suicide or Lambo doors and other important crap). http://www.elaborare.info/forum/vbul...d.php?t=246201
I don't know where they get there stuff, but it gives you an idea of what is out there.
