Welcome to the new look VWWatercooled

After much work and little sleep there is a new version of the forums running on more powerful and recent hardware as well as an upgraded software platform.

Things are mostly the same, but some things are a little different. We will be learning together, so please post questions (and answers if you've worked things out) in the help thread.

The new forum software is an upgraded version of what came before, it's mostly the same but also a little different. Hopefully easier to use and more stable than before. We are learning together here, so please be patient. If you have questions, please post them here. If you have worked something out and can provide an answer,

Same thing has happened to mine. Yet to have a look was planning on it this week. My 64 year old mother also managed to break the handle trying to move it.

It'll have either busted the cable or the plastic retainer that it clips into.

As a motor trimmer at work, we do all the VW warranty sublets and these seats aren't fun.

Leave it to the pros, fellas.

How long is the turn around once it gets dropped in for a warranty claim?

          That'd depend on the dealer.

We get delivered parts and a car - replace parts as supplied and return old parts. I guess the delay would be up to the availability of parts. Most bits are Melb or Syd; then fitment from there.

happened to me twice been fixed twice they have to take the seat apart to fix it so wouldn't bother trying to do it your self.
