  • Polo GTI closer to Mk I GTI than MkV/VI Golfs

After test driving the Polo GTI, I feel that it is closer to the spirit/concept of the Mk I GTI than my Mk V Pirelli. It is a small, light and nimble sports car.

I've also recently test driven both the Mk V and MK VI GTI.

It is more fun to drive than either of three Golf GTI's. I feel that the early reviews of the car did not do it justice. It handles just fine and drives like a go-kart.

You should try one after some good mods, then it has real potential.

Was travelling behind a Pirelli yesterday, he did not seem happy that I was staying on him...

Think of it as the Golf GTI before it got fat

Also, his opinon on chipping it, haha -

When you buy a washing machine, does it ever cross your mind that the water could be injected into the drum a little more quickly, or that the spin cycle could be turbocharged in some way? No? Well what about your lawn mower? Ever thought of chrome plating the blades or supercharging the two-stroke? Really? You’ve never felt the need to fit blue underfloor running lights or add a whale-tale spoiler?
