  • Bilstein Shocks

I am looking at getting a set of Bilstein B8 to go with my H&R Springs.
I have done a bit of a search for the actual part numbers of the shocks and all i could find was one reference on here to these numbers..... can anyone confirm?
    VE3-5218 (front)
    BE3-6790 (rear)

Google seems to indicate they may be correct having found this site
    fahrwerkebilliger.de
but before i start sending my hard earnt to foreign websites it would be good to know i am buying the right thing.

And where did every one get theirs from - I am used to getting stuff from the states as my last project was a BMW E30 (there are millions of them in the states so performance parts are reasonably priced and readily available)

But obviously as the states didn't get the POLO GTI.....if i can confirm the part number I can start searching for a place that sells them

Yes those part numbers are correct guys but you'll need to two units of each as they generally come as single units rather than a pair.

I'd be interested in how much you get them for including shipping. I spoke to Blistein Australia and they quoted around ~$1K for front and back.
        Current:
        2023 Mk2 Tiguan R - Lapiz Blue
        2015 Mk7 Golf R Wolfsburg - Limestone Grey: Stage 2
Gone but not forgotten: 2008 Polo GTI Shadow Blue

Quite reasonable. Considering earlier this year I was quoted $1600 -- Hmm, might start investigating again

If it's not a bad asking price then I might rethink of getting them just curious if I can get then for cheaper. Money saved is money spent elsewhere.

                VE3-5218 (front) 147 Pounds ea
                BE3-6790 (rear) 82 Pounds ea.

By the time you add roughly $120 for shipping, its about the same as the local buy (with local support).

                -------

If someone is interested, might be worth trying to talk to a sales person (i.e. not a telephone operator) and see if they can do a discount if a few of you are going down that path.

Looks like it's probably best to buy local. I'm still ifing and aring about which coilovers at the moment, hopefully I'll have this in a month or so.

I'm waiting on a call back from one of the Aust. Distributors based on 5 takers and I'm waiting on a response from eShocks in USA, but don't expect them to bite.

So you think we could get 5 takers?

If the price is right, they will be gobbled up.

After trying to get group buys on Coilovers and FMIC's, I'm not going to go back and forth. I'll see what we get, post it up and if it comes off, then good.
