Brand new 08 build in Reflex Silver- $23888 drive away
That price is unbelievable! (not denying thats the deal you got, just saying what a good deal you got).
I think if you got about $25 - $26k driving away you will be getting a reasonable deal. I paid $29k drive away for mine in 07 but u should be able to get a few k of those prices these days especially with a new model coming around soon.

Hahah yeah it was thousands cheaper than anywhere else, was cheaper than most demo's were selling for too!
I showed the carsales ad to another dealer closer by to where I live and they basically shook their head and laughed and said "no way you'll get it for that price, at best it'll be a demo with heaps of kms". So off I went to Burwin and bought it
I got mine for $27 drive away in QLD, I tired very hard to get dealers to match the Melbourne dealer for $23,888 but no one could, they must have had money from something else to throw into the bulk GTi's they demo'ed to get to that price. I would have bought one, but with freight and stamps it was getting close to the price I paid, so I stayed local and bought from them. Even Brisbane dealers wern't interested in doing Melbourne's price! I think dealer stock would be getting quite thin?
I paid $26,490 drive away in Oct '08 for mine, nothing added - didn't want their tint or paint/rust stuff - had to wait a month for it to arrive by boat and clear customs.
I had wanted to trade my Swift GTi for it, but their offer was ludicrous ($500!), so I ended up selling the Swift privately for $5500
Pain in the ass selling privately with 18yo idiots wanting to joyride in it, but it was worth the hassle to get the extra cash - it paid for APR stuff, tint, etc, etc
