black is best colour by a mile.

Otherwise you have that silly colour/black contrast on the front of the car.

Theres some that even paint part of the hood/roof black (hideous)

If you want black, buy black.

Let me guess you bought a red Alfa GTV in the early 70's, and to your dicused when you rocked up to work for the first time in it, your colleagues started taking bets as to whether or not it would fade to a reddish shade of invisible first or one sad night just turn into an recocnisable pile or rust in your garage.
