Digging up an old thread. Been busy with work and life so haven't had much chance to toy with the Polo and in November/December the gearbox decided to stop playing ball.

JMAC is just in the process of fitting the new box and ECS Stage 1 Clutch and Flywheel and dog bone mount and going to try a DeCat (easy enough to refit the Cat if there are any issues) and there have been quite a few good reports from Europe.

Going to try some weight reduction as well and see how far I can get into the 15's.

It's up to 125,000km so when it comes back from JMAC I am going to give it a good service as its been sitting for a couple of months, clean out the intake, intercooler etc and see how we go.

Picked up a set of GTI 9N3 Rims, Will kill the tyres on them and fit up a set of Semi Slicks.

Eh not a huge amount to report, did the DeCat - it made a huge difference, I used to pull on my gf's magna in 1st and 2nd and she would pull back in third. I can now pull on her in 3rd as well.

At the present I am just doing some planning. Purchased a 312mm TT Brake Upgarde. I am heading to the UK in July and at that time I hope to buy a new work vehicle. When i come back from the UK I hope to be bringing with me a VNT 17/22, PD150 injectors with Bosio race nozzles and a FMIC.

It was, a certain NSW company didn't get my parts up here in time for me to attend (waited a month for the parts) then when they did finally turn up they were broken.

Went back out to the drags last night.

Since last time the car is now about 60kg - 80kg lighter and has the PD160 intake and the Cat out. It now runs a 15.8 @ 85mph so another .3 tenths off but the MPH was up 7mph which I was pretty happy with.

Contrats, that is quite a good time for a TDI

I think with a lighter sticky set of wheels and tyres, a FMIC or Water Meth and the lighter clutch I could probably get it closer to a mid to low 15 on the stock turbo which I would be really happy with.

I'm basically looking now but I am heading off on holidays for 3 weeks in a couple of weeks so trying to save some money. Let me know what options you have and I'll start sorting something out.

Alright small update.

Ordered the injector fitting kit so hopefully have that all sorted out early next month. So if anyone wants a TT Setup I have one going at a good price

Selling off my Audi Brakes as I will go a Porsche Boxster with 2 Piece disc setup.

Also got some 17x8 Oz's

Have a whiteline sway bar on the way as well, Need to get that fitted up and make up the Camber plates before the start of the race season. So much to do

Also it is booked inf or the cage in two weeks time.

Need to organise a FMIC, Water meth and maybe a new turbo pending what happens.

Then its all ready to be tuned.
