Whatevs, we actually discovered that my car dumps more smoke out than the Polo, must be the added testosterone.

Yep, that's what it must've been. Evaded's Polo can actually keep up with my car and that has to be (what else could it be? surely not the driver ) due to the power to weight ratio.

But I'm hoping he can develop some other TDI mods so when it's all concreted, I can take my car there for a little visit....

Hahaha mine is the PD100 not the 90 model.

Also I only really get you upto about 60/70 and from there you start pulling away. I just get better launches than you do.

We haven't got a specific power figure in mind yet it is more a way of testing the little things to see what works and what doesn't work.

Finally back into working on the Polo a little bit, we started work on an AE82 Corolla for racing (so assuming it doesn't break) I can play around with the Polo a little bit.

Have a SEAT intake on the way. Will fit it and get some more results. Easy enough to fit so I will take it out to the drag strip and run a few passes with each intake fitted.

With any luck I will have an ecu flash done by then as well.

The mufflerectomy opened up a few more ponies and gave it a nice idle note. Not to loud either.

SEAT intake for me is a couple of weeks off arriving. Car is being flashed on Saturday morning so hopefully put it on the dyno some time after that.

Are you bringing the polo to Jmac's dyno day?

Quite likely, hahaha no one talked me into it, always wanted one but I am getting it at a very reasonable price so it makes sense getting it now.

good to know that the mufflerectomy opens up a wee bit more power, evaded.

a dump + mufflerectomy should then allow for a noticeable seat-of-the-pants change.

Just posted a group buy thread, I had a chat to the guys about the exhaust and they are willing to do it at the same price for you as they do for me.

                        Anyone else interested?

Will sort out pricing for the different things people want once I have a bit more of an idea.

Well had the car Flashed on Saturday morning and proceeded to head to the drags that night.

Car was weighing probably 50-60kg heavier than when I raced it last time (more fuel and far more stuff cluttering the car)

Weather conditions were fairly similar however from memory I think this time the weather conditions were more humid.

Anyway previously the car managed a 16.86 however most runs were in the low 17 region.

This time out the car ran a 16.11 so probably a high 15 in it with a few more runs and in the right conditions a high 15 would be fairly easily attainable. The next thing on the cards is a SEAT intake and full exhaust.

that's not bad, considering our 1st gears are good for a whopping ~40km/h, and we're pushing high 3rd @ 105km/h.
