Welcome to the new look VWWatercooled

After much work and little sleep there is a new version of the forums running on more powerful and recent hardware as well as an upgraded software platform.

Things are mostly the same, but some things are a little different. We will be learning together, so please post questions (and answers if you've worked things out) in the help thread.

The new forum software is an upgraded version of what came before, it's mostly the same but also a little different. Hopefully easier to use and more stable than before. We are learning together here, so please be patient. If you have questions, please post them here. If you have worked something out and can provide an answer,

  • I miss the Polo Gti

    Hi,

I recently sold my Polo GTi to another member on here. Im missing the little bugger.

Geez it wa sa neat car, had a great Stereo in it, excellent power and handling, looked so good with its 18 inch Kuro Intake rims.

Im not saying I dont like the new car, but I wish there were space for one of these little GTis..

The acceleration was excellent for the street to about 130km/h.. mid range was fantastic..

You might all see me in a Polo Gti soon.. Maybe when the new GTi comes out ill grab a superceded model. (Leather is a must)

        Haha, welcome back!

You'll pick up a nice 06 with leather for low teens pretty soon I reckon. I'd expect you to at least bolt on a disco potato this time though.

Is the BA feeling a bit boaty around the corners?

Is it lowered? Didn't see it on your list and didn't think Petrina had done any handling mods.

                    Haha

I wasnt going to say I am too embarrased

He told me it wasnt lowered and I knew the car was sitting lower than a normal GTI (4X4)

Turns out it has cut springs in it

Hopefully some KW's when I have the money

Well that explains all the bodgy handling and axle tramp Petrina was complaining about before in about 16 threads...

Looks awesome, might have to get one of those eventually.
Just had a look and TMTuning.com have them for $69US, not sure how much they will slug for shipping though.
