Welcome to the new look VWWatercooled
After much work and little sleep there is a new version of the forums running on more powerful and recent hardware as well as an upgraded software platform.
Things are mostly the same, but some things are a little different. We will be learning together, so please post questions (and answers if you've worked things out) in the help thread.

The new forum software is an upgraded version of what came before, it's mostly the same but also a little different. Hopefully easier to use and more stable than before.
We are learning together here, so please be patient. If you have questions, please post them here. If you have worked something out and can provide an answer,

koni sports (the adjustable ones) will set you back between $1000-$1400 depending on where you buy them. Retail on them is around the $1360 for memory. Eibach's are in the same bracket. Than you'll want springs, I got my H&R's for $300 from orange tuning in the UK. Springs and stock struts aren't too great, or too bad, do your research 1st so you know what to expect, unlike me rushing in to it.
If you're not a in rush, see how Noone goes with his coilovers in 6months time. If they haven't pi55ed oil everywhere and no complaints on the ride and handling than that may be an option.Track Car: 06 Polo GTI Red Devil mkII

Im currently using Koni Sports Shocks ( Adjustable ones ) with H&R 45mm springs and i must say it rides like a dream. If the coilovers are gonna be to much look at the Koni sports shocks ... you wont regret it dude . Good luckCurrent - Polo GTI 2009
