Welcome to the new look VWWatercooled

After much work and little sleep there is a new version of the forums running on more powerful and recent hardware as well as an upgraded software platform.

Things are mostly the same, but some things are a little different. We will be learning together, so please post questions (and answers if you've worked things out) in the help thread.

The new forum software is an upgraded version of what came before, it's mostly the same but also a little different. Hopefully easier to use and more stable than before. We are learning together here, so please be patient. If you have questions, please post them here. If you have worked something out and can provide an answer,

Has anyone had a problem with their stock turbo leaking oil??? I've had it had it for 6 months (had done 14,000k when i bought it) and its now done 20,000km and it already leaking... gathering this is covered under new car warranty... only thing i only purchased it a little while ago and it was over due for a service.. would that effect the new car warranty????

hey gti chick even though you're in perth you should have a range of resources at your fingertips.....

look for an accredited (even better still.... approved by the vwwa forums) workshop, and thats better than any run-of-the-mill workshop who'll tell you they deal with vw's in the same fashion as with subarus.....

look on the recommended repairers section of this website... may prove helpful....

Hey, if you're north of the river try Golfwagen, south of the river try Quattro Motors. Shouldn't have any issues with either of them, both highly regarded on here it seems.

its still under warranty, take it to VW and get them to fix it. easy peasy. no need to go paying an independent when its VW's responsibility.

well we will see what vw say taking it in next week.. it sounds like they are responsible since its only done 20,000 km
