Well I got out of there for just the service cost and now that management at work knows about how much dealers charge I can take it to the mechanic of my choice
Going to source parts through Jmac (thanks) and change what I am comfortable with and then take it to somewhere who wont bend me over.
On the plus side they at least gave it a damned good washJust because it happened to you, doesn't make it interesting

* 90,000km service : $580.00
* front wiper replacement - $102 (parts), $27 (labour) = $129.00
* strut top mounts + bearings (noisy) - $180 + $396 = $576.00
* rear brake pads (3mm remaining) - $130 + $132 = $262.00
* radiator (leaking side tank) - $340 + $330 = $670.00
* timing belt kit - $650 + $600 = $1250.00
* lower control arms (split bushes) - $400 + $330 = $730.00
* tyres (conti sport contact 2) - $1160.00
* wheel alignment - $66.00
* throttle body service - $132.00
* injector flush - $132.00
Being an 2006, it shouldnt be too far out of warranty and only 90000kms, I would of asked them to put in a request to VW for the radiator, strut top bearings, strut top mounts and lower control arm bushes.
Pretty sure the other prices are a bit steep too, and injector flush?? is that off car? Throttle body service?? is that just a clean and reset?
