Hey guys, just got my polo the other day and have found that there is a twist in the drivers side seat belt. How do I remove this bar so I can untwist it ?
Also, the gear knob is a bit loose anyone know how to tighten it up ?
    cheers

Hey, I just got mine too, that is a bit strange how you have a twist, usually that occurs when the belt has been twisted from the top not the bottom, is there anyway you can spin it round from the top?

        Hey mate

No need to remove the bar. Just make a twist before the buckle in the opposite direction, and pull it through the buckle. This will untwist it.
The gear knob is clamped to the gear stick, so it may be a bit hard to tighten. Not sure of a fix.

i have the exact same problem but on the passenger side. i don't see how you can untwist it without removing the bar or the belt assembly (mine's a 4 door btw).

i blame it on shoddy QC. couldn't be bothered to fix it.

I had the same thing when i got my pog on the drivers side. It didn't seem to have any twists in so though about taking off the pole to swing it around... anyway... i noticed when i fully pulled the belt right out, there was a twist i could see starting to come out of the pillar.

Just put an opposite twist in and it came good.

Its possible, a little tight, i'm surprised how it managed to twist round in the first place, but it was doable without taking apart the car.

If the the gear knob has a millimetre or two of play left to right, so does mine and i'm told thats normal and nothing can be done - grow to like it - fun to play with at lights - like worry beads.

The red arrow is showing "the thing"(i dunno what that called) which hold the gear knob you can adj. it with a screwdriver

i also have had a twist in the seatbelt.
i twisted it back in to possition without turning stuff loose,
just pull and twist the belt where it goes behind your panel and it will flop into the right pssition.

Just realised your rear mat has a twist lock on them, mine are just laying there. What year is your Polo?
