Welcome to the new look VWWatercooled

After much work and little sleep there is a new version of the forums running on more powerful and recent hardware as well as an upgraded software platform.

Things are mostly the same, but some things are a little different. We will be learning together, so please post questions (and answers if you've worked things out) in the help thread.

The new forum software is an upgraded version of what came before, it's mostly the same but also a little different. Hopefully easier to use and more stable than before. We are learning together here, so please be patient. If you have questions, please post them here. If you have worked something out and can provide an answer,

  • Mk5 Polo Sedan

Found this on caradvice.com.au. Looks like a nice little sedan and should do well considering there aren't many choices in the super-mini sedan category.

Oh that makes me feel sick... Looks like the Yaris sedan...

I'm not a fan of the new Polo shape, I'm sure it will be ok (just keep breathing)...

          What a dog. Looks like a hyundai/kia/toyota/mazda.

Is it not possible for someone to come out with something witha 5% spark of originality??

Or are we all doomed to every car looking the same for evermore???

Looks awful, suzuki swift looks 10x better..

Those longer mini's look bad as well, some things should be left alone!

I think that should appeal nicely to the granny market.

This is the one I like though

I wonder what size and pattern those wheels are
Just because it happened to you, doesn't make it interesting

i dont think they had much choice with the tail lights, given the tail lights on the hatch...

the back does look abit generic, but generic + euro = timeless, which vw is good at.

despite the rippage on the polo sedan, there've been PLENTY of people who have said that mk4's and 5's look just like corollas etc, yet we still love them.

i prefer hatches hatches hatches (yes, even over supercars) but it'd be interesting to see what people do with the polo sedan.

Very average looking VW (the sedan not the Gti).
