Maybe from underneath the seat securing the plastic (the heater pipes?)?
I'm not sure its hard to say, difficult because underneath the seat isn't very easy to get to either. Have you noticed any out of the ordinary rattles lately?
I found a little black plastic clip (it was more like a button) on the floor in the back of my car a few weeks ago. I still can't figure out if its fallen off my car or if somebody has dropped it.
There are no new rattles in the car. The weird thing about this this piece is that it was under the rear seat. I cannot see anywhere around there from where it may have come.
It looks like a Nutsert. They are pressed into shet metal to provide a threaded point where screws can be screwed into.
I am unsure where this could be from. It could have been dropped during the manufacturing process. These are very hard to remove, and I think it is unlikely that it has rattled out of anywhere.

Agreed, but it the flange hasnt been pulled up so its never been used as a nutsert so I doubt its falllen out of anywhere...the mystery remains!
