Really sorry to hear about that mate. I certainly hope the freight company would cover it or that the company you bought it off has some form of courier/postal insurance which is quite common with couriers. Hope it gets rectified with no money outta your pocket.

More than likely the damaged during frieght, bloody awful. Ive had discs delivered that had been dropped and left me stranded one weekend, trouble is i wasnt there to reciept the parts, some couriers dont give a stuff and the stuff you guys are getting carted around are not the cheapest things around, pretty unaccepteble really. Your supplier will be affiliated with the courier company , so i would be onto the supplier right away, with no patience frankly, if they were waiting for payment i dont think they would exercise patience mate
Good luck, its a poor show and i feel your pain, parts supplying is a huge bind for me at the best of times and they dont seem to care.

Good luck in getting a refund or a replacement. I know how you feel when things come in not what you expect it to.
Although just asking, did you have insurance in the delivery? and how did you pay for the parts? Paypal? I hope theres some sort of fallback at least if the supplier is playing hardball to replace or refund.

I'm not sure about the postage insurace. It was not something I specifically asked for.
I have contacted them sent photos and had a response that they are looking into it.
I didn't post this photo before, but I think the issue was in the packing rather than the shipping (although certainly contributed)

The tie that was used to hold the shock closed had split. the image on the left shows the good shock (where the tie has started to split) and the bad shock where the tie has split, the shock has opened and somehow punctured through the side of the box where it was susceptible to damage...
Have to wait until next week to follow up...

Actually, it will work harden it. Unfortunately, it will also make it more brittle.Originally posted by gareth_oau View Postdon't take my word for it, but straightening something thats been bent is possibly likely to weaken it?
If you took it to an eng shop they could probably fix it, but I'd be asking for a new one.

Between issues with the distributor and slow postage, my replacement shock has apparently cleared Aust. Customs and should be here today / tomorrow.
This has been a saga to say the least, its been most of 3 months since i coughed up money for this kit and I have gone through many phases of being patient and frustrated.
I've been waiting to get the suspension bushes and front sway on at the same time, hope the wait will be worth it...
