Screamer Pipe

A screamer pipe is the external wastegate exhaust pipe that legally should be joined back into the exhaust before the cat. However to be a proper "screamer pipe" it does not join into the exhaust, it dumps straight out into the atmosphere creating a noise similar to a Jet at full noise when it starts to take off. Very loud, very cool, very illegal, very annoying after the first week.

If you have an externally gated turbo normally the exhaust is routed back to the exhaust system but with a "screamer pipe" the exhaust the waste gate passes goes straight out to the atmosphere by-passing the cars exhaust system.
Think of it like a plumb back bov compared to a atmo venting but on the exhaust side of things.

Apparently they sound like a plane taking off.
Probably not worth it imo

I have a screamer on my other car. It sounds awesome under full boost.

It's called a screamer pipe cause that's the sound the driver makes when they get pulled over by the cops
Seriously though, on a track/drag car with a massive turbo you can't go wrong. On the Pog with a standard turbo (or even a slightly larger turbo) it's just not worth having an external gate and screamer. Far too many legal issues.
