  • Sooty might be a goner :(

got run up the back of last night

it was a fair decent shunt in the rear left corner, wrinkled the C pillar, killed the boot etc. Bit of a mess. It'll either be a write off, or a long fix. Luckily everyone who was involved was fine apart from some sore necks and a headache or two.

The person that ran into me was in a Red Vento Ironically.

now to sort out insurance, and its proving to be a saga from their end already I hope it gets sorted quickly and painlessly so I can get back in my dub.

Terrible news mate, i can only feel for you with regards to your insurance, just been through a nightmare too and its still dragging on. Best of luck , remember to write it off it the repair has to be worth more than the value of the vehicle. Takes a fair bit to write them off. The main part is that there was no one hurt

looks alot like yours actually, creased C pillar and such...

i hope it gets repaired. Still got some big plans for it to be the fattest and lowest polo in Aus

                      cheers fellas

                          man that sucks Josh!

If it does get written off hopefully the insuranced value covers the loan payout. I have had a few friends get burnt losing their cars and then still owing a couple grand on the loan.

Hopefully she isnt too bad as its definately a cool little car.

luckily the 2nd hand market has been kind to the TDI and its held its value better than the GTi

So Im hoping Ill get out of it (if its a write off) without having to pay any more on the loan.

a VR6 will be on the cards if its written off... They are cheap, relatively quick and I'll be debt free quicker (even if everything breaks on them!!!)

vento copped a fair shunt, pretty sure the radiator was knackered. The airbags didn't go off however, something wrong there!
