Hey there, I have a 2006 Polo Gti for sale in Newcastle NSW for best offer. I’ve owned this car since almost new and it has been my daily driver. I was going to install a bigger turbo etc, but I’m busy with other stuff and the car is just sitting in the driveway.

2.5 inch exhaust system

Relocated Optima battery to spare wheel well

new engine mounts

The engine was replaced in 2024 and has 175k on it. The rear main seal was replaced at the same time. The chassis has 298k on it.
The oil cooler has just been replaced and now the car is using coolant, but I can’t find the leak. The car runs and drives fine, there’s no coolant in the oil, no white exhaust smoke, but I can’t find the leak…
The power steering light comes on occasionally. I have topped up the fluid, which I assume is leaking somewhere.
The aircon recently stopped working. I’ve bypassed the compressor pulley with a shorter belt until it gets fixed.
The car is registered in NSW until March and it still drives really well. The gearbox still feels like new. The paint (black pearl) on the roof and bonnet is definitely showing it’s age though…
I have the full service history and the original two sets of keys.
As stated, I am willing to let it go for the best offer. There are more cars than people at my place at the moment and this one needs to go.

This car will go to the wreckers if it doesn’t sell before the registration runs out. It’s a shame because the car is still really good and has plenty of good parts.
