HAs anybody changed the stock Gear knob thingy?

I love my little Polo GTI but was a tad dissapointed that it doesn"t come a Leather Shift Knob thingy (highly technical description) and was wondering if anybody has slepped on an aftermarket one on there car? And what kind?
