Yes Ben that's them, and yes Gav has the magic tool for the job too
Ok so apparently my tachometer is a little out. By about 400rpm or so which I'm putting down to the fact that the tyres I'm running at the moment have a smaller rolling diameter than the factory size??
So we completed another 3 runs in 3rd gear to the factory limiter at 7000rpm to see how the turbo behaves at the threshold. Here are the findings of the 3rd back to back run
So air flow increased slightly bringing the peak power up a bit to 291bhp this time but things do drop off after 6600rpm.
However an interesting 4th gear run (which was aborted a little early due to running out of runway ) the boost doesn't drop off at all up top
Loving this turbo
I'm loving this mate! The boost comes in very nicely unlike mine right now
Also some pricing should be available soon through Gav (h100w) who will have these as part of a Custom Code Phase III package deal Can't recommend this combo enough!
Plus huge news from CC head quarters in the UK regarding their game changing new tune technologies
How do these sound;
"No Hardware On The FLY, Push Button Map Switching Technology"
Push To Pass
Selectable RPM launch control
Anti-lag Launch control
Switch to any one of 10 calibrations on the move
Stock , Valet , security lockout , E85 , Race Gas , Economy mode, 1/4 mile and much much more
I'm excited, especially about the E85 switch tune! And to celebrate I thought I might join the 2.0L club so bought the first piece to the puzzle
144/20's
There's heaps I want to finish first before I start the necessary parts scrounge to complete the short block - pistons, crank etc.
First off enlarging the diameter IC pipe sizing to 2.5" on the cold side now there's enough air flow to warrant it. Just waiting on the MAP flange to get here.
Then it's onto finishing the aero stuff which will be very interesting indeed. Bits should start arriving this week. Plus hoping to get to a dyno soon.
So Phase I of project aero arrived yesterday plus the MAP flange I've been waiting for forever.
The carbon sheet is to cover these well thought out grilles that let out pressurized air pre-FMIC and Rad that escapes north and just hits the rubber bonnet seal.
The sheet is only 1mm thick and rigid but still has some flex to it.
And also thinking of covering the old factory airbox intake entry also which VW put on both sides of the car.
And to help air flow and heat escape from the engine bay are the Ford Focus RS bonnet vents
A bit 'because race car" but meh, functional and look ok I think.
I have 1/2 of the rubber strip at the rear of the engine bay removed to help the hot air escape, not had any issues with water getting in and helps the snail heat go somewhere.

Thanks mate! Yeah Gav suggested that actually on track outings. Glad to hear it works!

That is awesome!! Colour coding the vents or leaving them black?
