Really good info to know about the PZero Nero. Must be hugely disappointing given what the thing cost.

So if you reinstall the rear seats and then adjust your coilovers to raise the rear by and inch (~2.5cm), in theory, you should find that fixes your rear camber.
Otherwise, you need to shim the rear carriers, get the alignment rechecked, and then drop the rear by the inch when hitting the track.

BTW My PoD used to look like a Polo Cross at the track when I stripped out the rear 'cos it would sit so high

      • Finally found an importer of the Federal EVO's 595 in 215/40R17 only $170 each plus $65 for postage

        1 x 215/40/17 FEDERAL 595 EVO TYRES CIVIC INTEGRA WRX | eBay

From all reviews and reports these are some of the grippiest street tyres around and still wear very well. As well as being closer to 225 than 215 in measurement. Winning

        • That is pretty decent, they are a nice looking tyre.
Hopefully they work out for you.

            • Thanks Clay, fingers crossed!

Cheers Stu will let everyone know if they're ok. He only had 2 left so goes through them fairly quickly so hopefully that means the dates should be recent.

Also got a sweet fabrication project underway thanks to Greg from Carformance (forum sponsor) that should benefit all of us

His fabrication work on the GT TDI is pretty good stuff.

                      • Ok so some good and bad news regrading the new tyres First the bad news - one is completely F'ed like it has either a major factory defect or someone has taken it on a few hot laps of a stinking hot track before sending it my way

I got them sent to work so I didn't inspect them until I got to my usual tyre place and saw it. The other one is brand new and fine. So I rang the ebay seller in Melbourne thinking here we go, what crap is this guy going to put me through to get this sorted. Well I was pleasantly surprised with his concern and willingness to get it all sorted ASAP. I sent him a photo and he said he would call me back.

He did and said they would send a replacement up in a couple of days free of charge obviously and I could keep the damaged one. So I thought stuff it I may as well pop them on in the mean time to see what they were like. So when they went on I noticed just how bloody wide they actually are. Now there was absolutely zero stretch like I had with the Goodyears and they are exactly the same size. This is awesome as the only tyre company in the world that makes a 225/40R17 is Nitto and I only hear very bad reviews. Here is a picture of the stretch on the Goodyears

                        And now the Federals

It's been raining in Brisbane for days now and the roads are quite greasy and being brand new tyres I wasn't expecting much. But holy hell these are grippy off the mark as well as planting it in 2nd and 3rd they were amazing. I don't know why and I can't explain it but even in these crap conditions they are amazing. Even coming out of a higher speed round about on the way back to work which is quite an acute angle up hill they gripped like hell when I planted it with no spin at all where I always spin the Goodyears even in the dry.

I was so impressed I rang the Ebay seller and asked what price he would do on 2 more plus the replacement he was sending. He said he would call me back and had good news. He offered all three delivered for free and only $150 each for the extra tyres. I also asked about the year of manufacture as the other were a couple of years old and he said he would make sure they were the most recent.

                        Happy ending

                          • Lol thanks mate! You stripped your car out yet

Well I am so impressed with the new tryes I decided to do a little experiment on the way home with the GTech and do a 0-100 run. The freeway was still wet and it was raining lightly. I launched at 2000rpm (which would usually end up in a display of tyre squeeling, smoke and going no where in the dry with Goodyears) then gave it hell in 2nd all the way to 105 then backed off and changed up.

Happy to say there was only a little tyre spin at launch and absolutely none at the 2nd gear change. it just squirmed a little but held on like no tomorrow.

Here is the result with 1.5m uphill reading and anti FWD conditions
