Any idea if this one would work?

    Its the: ASHK62b

Should be a fair bit cheaper than APR or Forge alternatives

    Anyone used Autobahn88 products before?

I'll see how much I can source for locally. I'm a bit hesitant as I don't think I could fit it myself, so it could be an expensive experiment.

It looks the same as the one from the APR website, but I'm concerned that being for the Golf Mk IV it would be backwards.

Might have to email them to check...

Anyone have a photo of the APR or Forge one handy?

      Available for $165 + postage

Don't think the hose connection layout is the same for the Polo...

When I was looking the Forge one a while back I remember reading that the MKIV pipe is different to the Polo pipe. Not hugely different but enough to make it not fit. Someone please correct me if I'm wrong.

Thanks Convert, had not had any negative feedback on the brand.

Will do some reading to see if anyone else has had issues...

do you know if anyone on the wrx forums had tried and had similar experience? Might help us to to reiterate staying clear or could be poor consistency in quality control and you got a dud.

ive used 3 of those autobahn ones, never had any problems before .. thers reviews on the vortex and ppl say for bang for buck you cant complain .. forge definitely the way to go but there is a price diff.

maybe they made it cheap, like a wrx? lol

My WRX (MY05 WRX WRP10) was more reliable in my two years of ownership than my Polo has been in 2 months of ownership. Don't get me wrong, I love my little Polo... but its a compromise of comfort/performance/small-size. However, for me it's been the perfect car for the daily grind in traffic to work, and then a brisk mountain drive on the weekend.

The WRX on the other hand was an animal in terms of performance, but sacrificed the comfort and temperament in traffic for it.

dont get me wrong, they're bang for buck, but the buck stops on the interior design and comfort imo.

i wouldnt buy a polo either myself for me but the interior is still more comfortable and nicer then a rex, but each to they're own ..

you can spend a lot less on one of those and get a lot more power, but they are a target car.

While the seats aren't as comfortable as the Polo (particularly with my leather), I had less squeaks from the WRX dash, and the MY05's have a really nice dash IMO. It certainly didn't feel as solid as the Polo, but it never missed a beat all the same.

Here is a pic of my old car's dash:
