New Polo GTI - late 2010

Cool. Still no word of if we'll get it in Aus though?

Design-wise, I don't mind it, but it's harder to distinguish it from the new Golf, from the front anyway. The current model's headlights are great & they're way different to the MkV Golf. Though the rear of the new Polo looks better (less feminine) than the current model. So it's a catch-22 with the looks.

The performance/economy is what i'm looking forward to read about in the new GTI.

The only reason there's been no word on the next Polo GTI is because it's over 1.5 years away! There's no point talking about it now, the customer will then have second thoughts about getting the current one. In fact, there isn't even any news on the new Golf GTI on the VW Aus website, some of which have already been seen on the docks.

An Aus release will probably be early 2011.

VW are offering free rego, on roads & dealer delivery on current Golf GTI's until end of september so seems that the new GTI is most likely set for an October launch...

I asked one dealer, the Golf GTI will be coming out in a month or two, and VW won't be releasing another new product after 6 months. So the New Polo will be coming to Aust around March next year, then THE GTI (who knows when)

Yup that's correct. We did get it before anyone else. Lets hope it happens again eh?

I want one

I wont one if i can get new gti in dsg auto and 5 door would be great i drive a manual toyota yaris all week in heavy traffic and would love to have a rest and drive an auto on week ends the dsg is quicker than manual in 0-100 km/h so im looking forward to see what comes out .I hope we get it first like the current polo .Mid to late 2010 would give me time to save up some funds.

the polo Gti was brought to us because they couldnt meet demand for the Golf Gti, if those sales dry up in which i think they have, maybe we wont see it at all? Was the Polo GTI a strong seller in oz?
