You have now crossed to the dark side - no more trying to coax more power out of the Zuks to try and match the standard offerings of the Polo.......

You will discover a world of wonder at what these engines are capable of when tweaked by an enthusiast like yourself. I'm sure you will apply your talents to the VW in the same way as to the Suzukis.

There's a lot of VW info on here and other forums such as Vortex and theres WAAAAAY more aftermarket support than for the Suzis as well.

Well its starting to sound better and better ,up to 1.5 bar with a reprogram that would have to give it close to 250hp wouldnt it.I will advertise the interior on here in the classifieds once i decide which way im going with the car.Does anyone know if the bonnet and front bumper bar off a std club will fit on the gti,not too worried about the looks ,just making it go hard would be the target.
Its not too supriseing that there a few suzuki converts on this site the polo is another well built small hatch and certainly the polo gti is a performance upgrade from the suzukis.Very impressed with the build quality.

Pretty close, you can crack 220 most likely, the last bit always costs more.

You would need a FMIC and downpipe for sure.

Polo 9n is the same body as 9n3 if that is what you mean?
they start making these in 2001-2002 i recon.

and about what you say about making 250hp in a polo.. it's do-able.
but not only with chip.
you need intercooler, exhaust, airfilter at least.
maybe a turboTIP because the stock one can collapse in higher pressure.
and a verry good remap.
i know someone with a Ibiza (same as polo)
he has 254hp, but it's realy the limit of the K03s turbo.
if you want more you should install a bold on K04-001 turbo wich can take 270hp maximum.
and if you still want more then you should go GT28rs or higher.
then you will make easy +300hp.
but you will also need injectors, fual pump, etc...
and maybe good to know, the stock engine can take about 300hp and 400nm, safe!
if you go over that you have more risk of blowing stuff up.
but another friend i know has drivin' also an ibiza with this engine on 340hp without any problems.
depends on how you drive also...

Yep. Jump on carsales for a look. The 9n3 (2005) is just a facelift.

So are there many polos in Aus being used as track/circuit cars ,I can only ever remember seeing the one on the Dutton rally nsw last year(I was driving Suzuki swift turbo).I guess the golfs are more popular for circuit work!!

Parting out

Im now thinking I would be better off to part this car out,ive looked for the panels I need and it looks like the cheapest way to fix the car would be to buy a second damaged one,but they are pretty scarce.
So if anyone is interested in parts from a 08 polo gti then i will consider offers.
The turbo 1.8 engine runs and sounds good,no damage to gearbox ect.Interior is leather(the drivers side seat airbag is blown ,so would need to fit a airbag from someones existing seat then have the leather seam sewn back up by upholsterer, easy job ,qouted under $100)At this stage this is an expression of intrest only because if I cant get enough intrest in selling the major components it wont go ahead and I will keep looking for a repairable to swap the gear into.please contact me via pm with parts you would be intrested in and I will come back to you with a reasonable price.
