I begin smiling even before I begin driving my Golf TDI. I test drove the Polo TDI before buying the Golf and it was a close thing. What it came down to was cargo carrying capacity, but I was very impressed with the Polo's handling, performance and looks.

i read it and was stoked that the TDi won the class... diesels are constantly looked at for their fuel saving capacity intead of their performance and driving capacity, hopefully things will change and people will not sight them as a 'premium' over a petrol engine that will be made up in fuel savings terms
