Welcome to the new look VWWatercooled

After much work and little sleep there is a new version of the forums running on more powerful and recent hardware as well as an upgraded software platform.

Things are mostly the same, but some things are a little different. We will be learning together, so please post questions (and answers if you've worked things out) in the help thread.

The new forum software is an upgraded version of what came before, it's mostly the same but also a little different. Hopefully easier to use and more stable than before. We are learning together here, so please be patient. If you have questions, please post them here. If you have worked something out and can provide an answer,

  • euro plates, how did you put it on

    Hi,

im planning to get the euro plates. I saw it somewhere online, where they sell the plastic holder for it to go over the existing std plates?? I can't remember if that was from dubaddiction (can't find it on their website)

so i want to know how you people with euro plates put it on (VW polo)

    thanks!

i think you can get a mounting bracket from dubaddiction and screw the bracket onto the car and slide the euro plate in....they arent on the website anymore for some reason

otherwise you can just screw the euro plates onto the car

you have to get a holder as the plates don't come with pre drilled holes...least not in melbourne. either that or use double sided tape like above.

            Dealer

Hi there everyone, i've been a long time viewer but first time poster...when I got my euro's I just took the car to the dealer (for me it was Austral), and they did it for me in about ten minutes...gave me protectors for them as well (some people might not like them but I prefer), didn't cost me anything...
