  • .: New modification rules in NSW effective 1st August :.

Want to lower or rise your car of more than 5cm? or even to change a gearknob of your car? Well, you'll want to do it before the 1st of August!

The NSW government has lost its plot and will be introducing new laws that require all modifications to be approved by Road and Traffic Authority engineers

    What a load of crock

How the hell do they think they're going to police this. They firstly need to prove when you had the car lowered. Bloody wankers, typical wasting rescources and money on trivial things!!!!!!

I wouldn't stress, I would assume that you could claim the works were done prior and get away with it pretty easily (unless the car was not made before then...).

Pretty sad to see the rules tightening up further with what sounds like minimal justification...

"Baby on Board" signs should be banned .. they impair the drivers vision and irritate me when I see them on every 2nd car !!

All I can see is a massive increase in the coilover business. How are they going to handle this... hopefully not by raising the prices !

In theory though would coilovers become illegal as they enable you to lower your car more than 50mm!!!!!!
