Welcome to the new look VWWatercooled
After much work and little sleep there is a new version of the forums running on more powerful and recent hardware as well as an upgraded software platform.
Things are mostly the same, but some things are a little different. We will be learning together, so please post questions (and answers if you've worked things out) in the help thread.

The new forum software is an upgraded version of what came before, it's mostly the same but also a little different. Hopefully easier to use and more stable than before.
We are learning together here, so please be patient. If you have questions, please post them here. If you have worked something out and can provide an answer,

Groaning/Squeaking Suspension

I'm also getting the occasional groan from the suspension when driving the car for the first time in a couple of days - it's garaged for anywhere between 5-10 days and the first drive afterwards is always groan-tastic.
I'm on stock everything so no idea what it is! Only been noticing it during the colder months though, so I'm jumping to the same conclusion as everybody else.2019 132TSI Tiguan

Hi There,
Did you managed to find the root cause? I'm on stock and had a similar "ambient-temperature" prone squeak on my rear left. I've tried removing the rear suspension, remoce the under-fender trim and couldn't find the cause. But after removal of the under-fender trims, i realised the rear fender seems to have 2 layers of metal. there could be wiring running through the metals that expand/contract when the temp changes....now still figuring out how to remove the trims to find the root cause...

my suspension (well what i thaught was my suspension) started squeaking about a year back, turned out it was the after market sway bar bushes. i just got them to tighten them up at the dealership. could it be the stock bushes being the root cause?" I wait I resolution derive pleasure this " latest spammer post
