Yeah I've installed one on mine. Not sure of any actual measurable benefits but I did it for engine bay cosmetics to match the rest of the blue Forge hosing etc.

Hmm...so far not many people making posts on this topic so the only main function for the intercooler to throttle body hose is really just for aesthetics eh?

I think the hose it is there for more than looks

You are right though, anyone who changes it is doing it for aesthetic reasons rather than any performance gains.

Although I haven't done mine (yet) the replacement of this is for much more than asthetics. As with the TIP the stock IC - TB hose gets very soft when warmed up. Once this happens it starts to pinch on itself (although never enough to close up completely) when the motor rocks, hence limmiting the smooth flow of cool boosted air into the car and slightly limiting performance. The Forge unit (and others on the market) are made from heat resistant silicone decreasing the effects of this.

Don't beleive me?????? Give your IC - TB hose a squeeze when cold then go for a "spirited" drive and repeat the process. It's quite shocking how soft the hose gets.
            Cheers,

            John

Funny that you raised the hose softening issue ...

I was telling a mate I was going to get a TIP for mine and he informed me that those hoses are meant to go soft to allow for the engine movement wrt the chassis when pushing it hard. If the hose stays hard you can split it !!

I lol'd so hard ... he still thinks he is right even after showing him a tonne of stuff on the net.

I have this added to my car...
When I first bought my car, one of the first things I noticed in the engine bay was how soft the I/C to T/B hose and TIP got after a good drive.
Replacing both of these i feel was a good step to reducing the repective collapsing and bollooning of the hoses. Having said that, I think the new hosing looks the goods too.
