  • Right on the tail with Nissan Silvia S15/200SX

Was out and found myself in between a stock Honda Integra Type R and a modded Nissan Silvia/200SX S15. Anyway, long story short, the type r gave and I kept up with the Nissan right on its tail or occasionally next to it. Should've seen the look on the guys face he he he. I bet he didn't expect me to keep up with him Anyway, very happy with the performance of my modded polo. Recently had the APR downpipe fitted and that has definately helped the car to breath, run and rev more happily and smoothly. Dog bone mount definately helps too. Much more precise shifting with a solid feel. The only problem now is getting all that power to the ground as it didn't help with the wheel spinning tonight. Hopefully the wheel and tyre upgrade this week and suspension upgrades soon will help alleviate this problem.

Nice garage you got going now Alfie. Cheers for that guys. Still got a smile on my face. LOL. Yeah I was sticking to the limit. Just having fun and seeing what the polo is now capable of after the mods.

Thanks buddy.. you should bring your ride to the VW show comming up or even the photo shoot next week. Checkout the Victoria section under the club, meet and events section of the forum. Should be fun.

Ooh that would be nice. Hope its at the right time on the right day other might not make it as I've got the car booked in to get some parts put on/painted etc. Funny thing is it seems that each time when there's an event on, I'm usually busy caught up with something. Darn. Hope I can this time. Photoshoot shoot and meet sounds nice. Would love to go for a ride in your modded R36. Would love to get one of those.

Gti Dave surely was testing the performance of his modded Polo against these two cars on a private track and not on public roads as we all know there is no reason to street race............
                Cheers,

                John

Cheers Mikinoz, realise that and won't discuss it again. Just thought it would be interesting to share the potential of the polo and the type of fine machine it is in comparison to other performance vehicles

Go the modded Polo Gti...I on a track was right on the bum of a debadged FPV of somekind (sorry don't know my 6's and 8's to well) I had him from standstill all the way to 100km but after that he had me!! It just smacked passed 100km. Guess those heavier cars are slower from standstill but once it had the momentum......Maybe if I had a Ko4 I would have performed better above 100km as Guy said the K04 is great for track!!

                        It musta been a CA18DET and not a SR20.

S15 is SR20DET. If its stock a chipped polo would beat it.

My mates stock S15 did 13.9. A normal chipped Polo won't get close to it as the best I've heard of is 14.3 with just chip and tyre pressure adjusted.
