strut brace or sway bars?

im currently looking at differant sway bars and strut braces. which would you say would be better? and is there anyone out there that has both sway bars and strut braces for front and back?

will you be using it for track or road use? for road, imo both of them not worth it.

Yeah I'm still deciding whether to go the rear whiteline sway bars or not. Will be upgrading the suspension soon and not tracking the car either so I'm thinking it may be adequate. Got a front strut brace but that's it in terms of chassis upgrades. Didn't opt for the rear strut brace though due to the cutting into the carpet lining and loss of useable space in the boot and placement of large objects.

well if that's the case, then get the rear sway bar.. should up the handling characteristics

Get both. I know on previous rides I've owned that they are definately worth the expense (and it's not all that much anyway).

They do different things (assuming you're talking about a FRONT strut brace and a REAR sway bar - which are both pretty common mods)

I've got the above and since they're installed in stages, I could tell what the main difference I felt were:

Front strut brace - turn-in definitely felt sharper, before the wheels used the feel ever so slightly hesitant going into corners (mind you I came from an MX5 so practically anything short of a Lotus Elise feel less sharp)

RSB - BIG difference, the car used to understeer but with the RSB on it's far easier to power out of corners.

You'd feel the difference more with the RSB but IMO both are well worth the money.

I have both, if I ever feel the need to go around a corner like a goKart...I can.

The toe kit is other excellent option.

In my opinion it is a MUST have for a good handling.

Mike when are you in Brisbane next?? Youre more than welcome to take my polo for a spin! So far I a Forge front strut brace, front and rear adjustable whiteline sways, Whiteline toe in shim kit and a Weichers lower brace. Should give you a fair idea of which direction you want to head

Please note the Forge brace is the only that secures with all 4 bolts on the strut tower. I think the others vary from 2 to 3 bolt set ups.

RSB installed today, have to agree with all said in this thread.

In combination with H&R springs but stock shocks, it has cleared up a number of small limitations / handling issues.

Power out of turn is much better

Speed through corner is higher

Waiting for track day to really see what it can do.
