I've been using the aCar app for monitoring fill-ups. etc. Since I began to use it in December 2010 :

    Total Distance 8,489km
    Min L/100km 6.25
    Avg L/100km 8.68
    Max L/100km 11.35

    Min $/L $1.379
    Avg $/L $1.546
    Max $/L 1.709

^- always used 98 Octane BP as well.

Nice figures. What sort of trips does that consist of mainly?

I get 7.5 average with driving hard.
REVO software is awesome, at 140kmph I use a whopping 5l/100km!! and this is up in Johannesburg 600km above sea level(I think)

Wow, wouldn't your engine be starved for air at that altitude!!??

Lol i dont know, maybe 600m or 1600m

600km does seem quite high up lol

            Edit:
            Wiki says
Johannesburg is located in the eastern plateau area of South Africa known as the Highveld, at an elevation of 1,753 metres (5,751 ft).

That's ridiculous figures for such a tuned car. I don't think I've ever seen 5's, nor likely to.

I think once you fit a higher pressure fpr the figures shown in the dash are incorrect. Mine had a 4 bar fpr and it would show silly figures like 4. something to 1/100km. If you check how far it goes on a tank full it may not agree with the dash.

Mines seems more accurate post the tune, though still a bit out over a tank.

10-12 on track?!?!? How do you manage that? I get upwards of 20L/100km

no, 95 for stock, 98 for tuned.

same as the other thread you asked in.

This is my first full tank in my polo and have so far done 340kms and still estimates another 260kms remaining. Sits between 4.3-5.4L/100kms at 110kph on the highway with the variances of going up and down slight hills on the motorway. I'm impressed
