Why doesnt the Polo Gti have the 1.8T badge on it

My car now has the 1.8T badge on it.. Looks perfect.. Fitted it millimetre perfect.

Sometimes you need to show a little teeth to ward off the opposition. The Polo Gti in standard form looks a little limp wristed.

It must have street cred now....

Bet it still wont break into wheelspin at over 100 km/h on the highways tho......

personally i dont want street cred or badges, nothing more satisfying then being a sleeper and wiping the smiles off there faces

Every Audi model says Im a 1.8T or 2.0T or whatever, some VW models do so as well.

Mine has it on and I think it suits it well. Ill post up a pic for your evaluation. (gotta take one first)

I bet those Audi models aren't badged 'RS#' or 'S#'. The GTI badge is what distinguishes our cars from the regular Polo's.

I say you should be proud of not having a 1.8t badge on the gti. look at all top of the range vag cars, they don't have silly numbers on the back, just the letters gti, R32(ignore the 32 ) s, rs...

Rubbish! A large number of Audi and VW models DO NOT have displacement badges. Let's start with the Golf GTI, and then wander around the yard of an Audi dealer. Good grief

I don't see the point of it.
People aren't going to drive past and see a 1.8T badge and go "WOW! What a sweet ride, that thing must be fast!"

If you want to be noticed, get your polo painted in some ludicrously bright/glitter/pearl/ paint and add flashy bling rims.

If you want to enjoy your polo for what it is, then leave it alone, don't add useless badges and enjoy the hot hatch.

It seems to me like you want the polo to be a supra or a FPV/HSV.
