What came to OZ

Looking in PVW it got me thinking about Polo's and waht models came to Oz...

Did we get the Mk1, Mk2 and Mk3??? Or were they private import only???
Does anybody have a MK1, 2 or 3???

Also i know we got Mk4 Polos but did we get them in a 2 door and what models...

I think i might have to get a Polo the bug has bitten

As far as I know VW Aust. did bring a couple of the early Polo's out here for testing purposes & head honcho's I think. I know there is mk1 & 2's but have never heard nor seen a mk3 out here.

I've got a disassembled 86 MK2 Polo Squareback 1.1L(or Breadvan as some people call it.)
Might be up for sale if the price is right. Was bare metalled incl. underneath which has had new sound deadening applyed, currently in primer, no rust, has new Bilstein 40 drop suspension & has a spare 1.3L

Hey Tim, that Mk2 you have there would be a rare beasty. I have a 1.6 sitting here from a 99 model that would go nicely in that car

Sounds cool... Unfortunatly im only 16 and mum is boss and she says we have too many cars at the moment... But you can never have enough...

All Polos sold here up to the Mk6 (2002 model) were 5 doors.

Almost none! VWaus imported approx 10 mk4 golf two doors. Non turbo . . . IIRC, some of them didn't even have AC?
